Fiesta displayed courage under pressure in the Widden Stakes at Rosehill yesterday, running over 1100m in 1:05.50. She was ridden by Kerrin McEvoy, who praised her focus:

"It was a pretty good win. There was a bit of hustle and bustle involved.. After a bit of a bump and having to change course she didn't lose focus. She was the winner as soon as I got that gap."

An 'I Am Invincible' filly out of 'Now Now', Fiesta was sold as a yearling by the farm at the 2017 Inglis Classic Yearling Sale in NSW in the Gold Riband Session, and Mike and Debbie were pleasantly surprised to learn that this win by Fiesta had earned him a $100,000 bonus! Inglis offered a special bonus for Gold Riband graduates, where they would pay a bonus $100,000 50/50 split between the vendor and supplier of the first horse during the session to win a 2yo Stakes race.

Many congratulations on the win to her trainer, Chris Waller, and her owners at Star Thoroughbreds Pty Ltd.
