at fairhill farm, we pride ourselves on providing top quality service.

It is important to us that your horse is given the superior care it deserves, and we have a number of agistment and on farm services available to suit your needs. We are located just an hour and a half from Sydney, allowing you to see your charge without the long drive to the Hunter. Our location also allows us access and proximity to top stud farms to ensure the safe cover of mares, with most being less than an hour and a half away. We offer an exclusive number of places to outside horses per year, and we welcome enquiries.

Broodmares

We provide agistment for mares on long term or seasonal stays. During the season special care is given to arriving foals. Legs and feet are checked regularly by our farrier to ensure any problems are treated as early as possible. Every care is taken to ensure that the mare is happy with her paddock mates.

On Farm Services

breeding

We are committed to ensuring that your mare has the best chance of conceiving. Mares that are difficult are of special interest to us. We have 24 hour on call vet service provided by Hunter River Veterinary Services. Peter Tabak, principal, is available to us at anytime of day.

mares under lights

We put dry mares under lights to assist them in cycling early at the beginning of the season. This is an optional service we can provide to you upon request.

Debbie and I have personally foaled down all mares on the farm for the last 10 years, and are committed to safely delivering happy and healthy foals. You can know within 30 minutes what your mare has foaled for you if you so wish, no matter the time of day.

Weaning is done in blocks of around 6 at a time, ensuring first class attention for each foal.
